ResponsibilitiesNoblis MSD has an opening for a Facilitator for surface ship maintenance and modernization Project Team (PT) development events. The Facilitator will assist multiple Project Managers (PMs) from Southwest Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC) in the coordination efforts to lead a surface ship CNO Availability PT through detailed planning preparations beginning approximately 18 months in advance of Availability start.The Facilitator must possess knowledge of Navy maintenance and modernization processes to effectively handle daily management of questions and concerns from various assigned PT Members and possess the ability to provide quality and prompt answers. The Facilitator shall:
Be comfortable addressing forums comprised of varying maintenance and modernization stakeholders ranging from junior to senior military/civilian levels
Possess experience facilitating/instructing courses and training students commensurate with Commander, Navy Regional Maintenance Center (CNRMC) training standards
Schedule and coordinate IPTD Events. Work closely with the PM and PT members and assist in the preparation and facilitation of the events to: build the availability project plan, mitigate risks, align and develop the team, reinforce roles and responsibilities, integrate work, incorporate lessons learned and best practices, refine project planning and execution products, apply project management methods, tools, processes, draft the End-of-Event (EoE) Report, and facilitate the development of a functional team
Provide consistency across the waterfront for the planning and execution of ship maintenance Availabilities and have the ability/capacity to share lessons learned from different modernization and repair installations across the Fleet to assist the PTs in meeting project objectives
Maintain awareness of constantly changing ship maintenance schedules, tracking specific fleet events/requirements and meeting for multiple ship platforms while maintaining communication with PT Members to ensure awareness of new requirements, instruction changes and upcoming planning milestones
Provide support for assigned PTs regarding various organizational meetings and planning activities to provide continuity for the team and the development of strategic tools that assist the PM in effectively meeting project objectives while communicating guidance and instruction as directed by CNRMC
Required Qualifications
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Active DoD Secret security clearance
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and 3 years of experience in facilitation, training or related area (AA-6, HS-9 or MS-1)
Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate with customers at all levels of the organization in a professional, effective manner
Outstanding briefing and presentation skills
Ability to develop/manage effective teams
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Power Point, Excell, Word)
Ability to organize work efficiently and manage time effectively
Ability to perform successfully both independently and as a Team member in a demanding work environment
Experience with Navy Surface Ship Repair and Modernization
Willingness and ability to experiment and innovate new approaches to provide the highest caliber service to our customers
Desired Qualifications
Master Training Specialist certification
Major ship systems knowledge
Project Management Training, Curriculum Development Training, Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt, Organizational Behavior Training

The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and are based on full time status. Part time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours.
