Description Position: Medical Front Desk Receptionist (Contract)Location: Downtown San Diego, CASchedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, On-siteAre you a compassionate and organized individual with experience in medical office administration? Robert Half Staffing Agency is currently seeking a dedicated Medical Front Desk Receptionist to support a reputable non-profit mental health outpatient facility located in downtown San Diego. This is a temporary contract role, expected to last approximately 2 months, with potential for extension. Only candidates who are currently unemployed will be considered for this opportunity.Key responsibilities
Acting as a liaison with patients and providers in a compassionate and kind manner
Aiding in the management of patient medical records
Making appointments, collecting co-pays, and providing receipt of money in accordance with established procedures
Directing patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries
Ensuring the waiting and reception areas are kept neat and clean; reporting on any damage
Responsible for insurance verifications with health insurance organizations
Assisting patients with paperwork
Maintaining various files and providing general office duties, e.g. scanning, faxing, data entry, etc.
Answering telephone calls in a detail-oriented and effective manner within minimum rings
Requirements
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Medical Front Desk Receptionist or similar role.
Knowledge of medical terminology and electronic medical records systems.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Must be local to the downtown San Diego area and available to work on-site every day.
Unemployed candidates only, as this is a temporary contract position.
