Model Based Systems EngineerDescriptionDo you like working in acollaborative, team-oriented environment? Would you like to advance the state-of-the artin the use of systems models?The MITRE Architecture Analytics Department islooking for systems engineers and architects with experience in applyingsystems engineering principles and practices using model-based languages,methods, and tools to analyze complex system or system-of-systems. By applyingmodel-based methods, systems engineers and architects promote mission success,functional integration, and resource optimization in support of decision-makingfor an enterprise environment.This position can be located in McLean, VA;Huntsville, AL; San Diego, CA; or Aberdeen, MD.Experience and skills in thefollowing areas:
Experience in composing concepts of operations,use cases, workflow models, and other relevant artifacts that captures themission and intent of a system.
Experience eliciting and writing requirements,e.g., operational, functional, non-functional, system, etc.
Experience in management and traceability ofrequirements and relevant model/architecture artifacts.
Experience in enterprise architecture modelingusing common frameworks like DoDAF, TOGAF, etc.
Ability to build and assess systems engineeringand architecture models using a MBSE approach to conduct technical assessmentsthat inform key technical decisions made by a sponsor or organization.
Experience using tools such as Cameo, Rhapsody,NoMagic, or other MBSE tools.
Excellent interpersonal, collaboration andcommunication skills for engagements with sponsors, MITRE staff and otherstakeholders.
QualificationsPreferred Requirements:
5 or more years of experience in relevant fieldor B.S. in systems engineering, software engineering, computer science, orrelated disciplines.
A current SECRET clearance or the ability toobtain one.
Ability and willingness to be trained in a MBSEmethodology, language, and tools in the event the candidate does not haveextensive experience in using model-based tools.
