Description Robert Half is partnered with a San Diego clothing design firm who is in need of a Part-Time Bookkeeper to support for a maternity coverage. We are offering an exciting opportunity for a meticulous and detail-oriented Bookkeeper in the heart of San Diego, California. Your key responsibility will be to maintain and manage our accounts receivable and payable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all transactions. This short-term contract role is primarily based in our office and will require strong skills in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, Bookkeeping, Data Entry, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, Payroll, QuickBooks, and Accounts receivables systems.This is a PART-TIME role (3 days per week, with Thursday being required). This would be 3 full-time days in the office each week. This position will be lasting around 3 months in duration. Responsibilities: Convert packing slips into invoices promptly and accurately, ensuring they are dispatched to customers on time. Actively follow up on outstanding payments through emails and phone calls, maintaining professional customer relations. Accurately record all payments received and prepare customer statements to keep all transactions up to date. Promptly handle invoice-related queries, ensuring that invoices are sent to the correct recipients and that all sales tax information is verified for accuracy. Efficiently process all incoming bills, verifying their accuracy before payment. Prepare and mail checks, managing all outgoing payments with meticulous record-keeping. Maintain open lines of communication with vendors regarding payment schedules and past due accounts, ensuring healthy vendor relations. Organize and complete new vendor setups, including the management of sales tax permits and W9 forms for new 1099 contractors.
