Personnel will assist in the training and supervision of new operator trainees. Ensures that the machines are running on their shifts, are producing a quality product in an efficient manner. Assist in the packaging and moving of materials.Required QualificationsESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:

Efficiently performs set-up, running, monitoring, and troubleshooting (as required) of all the slitting machines.

Exercises strong working knowledge about defects associated with Finished Goods materials and can make all required judgements as to a film’s quality and usability.

Prepares slitting documents, core-tags, box labels and quality documents and training documents without immediate supervision.

Assists in packaging of materials when needed including making boxes, packaging material, stacking packaged material on pallets, and moving pallets of completed film.

Assists in training/supervision of less experienced operators.

Occasionally performs lead operator responsibilities when lead operator is not available.

Properly and thoroughly informs relieving shift and department superiors about machine and production status, material processes, department or job needs/priorities, and problems of observations.

Strictly follows standard operating procedures, set-up specifications, supervisor’s instructions, safety regulations and housekeeping policies. Follows procedures for any deviation to the above.

Provides regular suggestions and feedback to Slitting supervisors concerning department problems, process improvements, machine operation and safety hazards.

Ensures all phases of the Slitting operation are performed in efficient manner.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Informs Lead Operators of parts/supplies needed and follow-up on request if items are not supplied in a timely manner, ensuring request was passed on.

Performs finished pallet sign-off and rework activity (when directed).

Suggests updates to procedures/policies on a regular basis.

Communicates with lead, plant personnel and supervisors regarding production issues.

Regularly monitors self-productivity and reports limitations to lead of department supervisor.

Participates in continuous improvement and safety observations.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION:

Strong knowledge of math relating to company processes and procedures.

Strong mechanical ability, troubleshooting skills, and attention to detail in slitting procedures.

Strong written/verbal/interpersonal communication skill relating to slitting procedures/company processes.

Beginning knowledge of other department’s procedures as it relates to film construction, winding techniques, shipping procedures and metallizing process.

Working knowledge of relevant customers and suppliers.

High school graduate. 1 or 2 years of college or 4 year military service preferred.

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the local pay range for this position, which is $18.00 to $28.00 per hour, plus 3rd shift differential of $1.50/hr. This hourly pay rate offered can vary depending on location, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. In addition to the hourly base pay rate, this position is eligible for periodic bonus payments/an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount can be up to 10% of hourly rate based on company and individual performance measures. The total annual target cash range (Hourly Pay Rate plus Bonus, annualized (40 hrs/week 52wks)) for this position, is $44,600 to $67,400. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.]Additional Pay Incentives for This Role Include:

Shift Differentials (Hourly Rate plus 3rd Shift Differential of $1.50/ hr)
