This is a Full Time position, working 12 Hour Day Shift 6am-6:30pm. Located at Scripps Green Hospital in the community of Torrey Pines working with our amazing Respiratory Team. So if you’re open to change, go ahead and unlock your potential./The Respiratory Therapist, in collaboration with other caregivers, assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates actions for respiratory care. Performs all technical diagnostic and therapeutic procedures related to respiratory care and other core responsibilities necessary to maintain the flow of patient care and comfort in the unit. Responds to critical situations. Utilizes computer systems in performing position duties. Adheres to Hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Participates in Quality Control, preventative maintenance, and performance improvement activities.Required:

Excellent interpersonal skills. Enjoys working with the public.

Must be able to speak, read, and follow instructions in English.

Technically competent in the department skills inventory. Computer literate.

Current California RCP license

Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification

Preferred:

Prefer one or more years acute care experience.

Graduate of one or two year AMA School of Respiratory Care preferred.

Outpatient bronchoscopies, ICU, ventilators, bedside tracheostomies

  • Designs biofeedback therapy programs for patients being treated in the Scripps Center for Integrative Medicine, consulting with a physician as appropritate. Monitors the patient\'s progress and modifies the treatment plan based on the patient\'s response to treatment and progress (symptom improvement and demonstration of control of physiological function as indicated by biofeedback instrumentation.)
