Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Commercial Property Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will oversee the maintenance operations of multiple commercial properties, ensuring all buildings and facilities are well-maintained and fully operational.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage a team of maintenance technicians and staff.
Develop and implement maintenance schedules for all properties under management.
Conduct regular property inspections to identify and address maintenance issues.
Oversee the repair and maintenance of plumbing, electrical, and other building systems.
Coordinate and supervise external contractors for major repairs, renovations, and specialized maintenance tasks.
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and building codes.
Manage the inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
Prepare and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
Train and mentor maintenance staff, fostering a culture of safety and excellence.
Respond to emergency maintenance situations promptly and efficiently.
Communicate effectively with property managers, tenants, and upper management regarding maintenance activities and property conditions.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification preferred.
Proven experience as a maintenance supervisor or similar role in a commercial property setting.
Strong knowledge of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Work Environment:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work in various weather conditions.
Some climbing, bending, and working in confined spaces may be required.
