Description Robert Half is seeking a dedicated Risk Analyst to join a growing company in the Financial Services industry. You will manage financial modeling on a range of financial products as well as measure, analyze, and forecast performance in conjunction with operating plans in this position. You will be charged with advising management on the allocation of resources to accomplish objectives in a timely manner and preparing reports for management. In this role, you will be part of a dynamic team serving as a key business partner in areas like forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management. Located in the San Francisco, California, area, this Financial Analyst role is a long-term contract / temporary employment opportunity. Lead monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required
Understand and communicate internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending
Complete and direct forecasting reports
Operate with Accounting on the monthly and quarterly financial close process
Monitor monthly and quarterly performance by comparison of actuals versus expectations and enable business partners to handle their resources effectively
Function next to senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation, and prioritization
Study performance to date and examine potential risks and opportunities
Create effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and recommendation support
Support contacts in Accounting and Operations to execute business plans
This position would suit a flexible individual that has experience managing large amounts of information and meeting expectations
Keep up weekly, quarterly and annual Area/Segment-level Bookings and P& L forecasting
Requirements - Financial planning & analysis (go-to-market experience favored)
Outstanding communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations
Experience with financial data management processes & systems, e.g. Oracle/Hyperion/SAP Business Objects/SFDC/Tableau- Sound written and verbal communication skills
Microsoft Excel experience
Client communications experience
Strong familiarity with Analyze Financial Statements
Annual Reports experience preferred
Firm understanding of problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
BA/BS degree in finance or a related field
Creative problem solver who anticipates risks and opportunities and maintains a vision for continuous improvement
Spreadsheet and ERP system experience recommended
