About the Team The centralized Workplace Investigation Team (WIT) is a part of the DoorDash People Business Partner team and is responsible for the prompt, thorough, and objective investigation of workplace concerns and complaints raised by DoorDash employees in the United States and internationally (Canada, Mexico, Australia, and New Zealand). About the Role The Senior Workplace Investigations Business Partner (Sr. Workplace Investigations BP) is a key member of the WIT. This role will effectively conduct and manage complex internal investigations from intake to resolution while ensuring that employees are treated fairly and with respect, and that cases are investigated and brought to resolution in a timely manner. This role will provide advice and counsel to HR, Employee Relations, and managers to ensure the consistent application of policies and procedures across the organization. Act as the lead investigator for highly complex and sensitive workplace investigations across various business units, conducting interviews of complainants, subjects, and witnesses; making objective recommendations based on your findings; and drafting comprehensive investigative reports with your summary of findings.
Have a strong HR investigation background where you have demonstrated proficiency in conducting timely, objective, and thorough investigations for claims such as bullying, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.
Prepare, maintain, and track all case related documents and communication in the designated case management system and serve as a backup for administration in the case management system.
Apply independent judgment when providing guidance to HR/ER and managers in the resolution of workplace concerns.
Develop effective relationships with cross-functional partners such as the Employee Relations, Human Resources, and Employment Legal teams and enjoy being a trusted resource.
Collaborate with your manager to develop rigorous data analysis and reporting that will provide insights to the business.
Consult with in house employment attorneys as needed to ensure compliance and consistent interpretation of relevant laws and regulations.
Participate in projects led by the WIT team as needed.

You have a BA/BS and 8+ years of relevant experience in workplace investigations, human resources, employee relations, and/or employment law including 5+ years of solid and traceable experience conducting complex investigations into employment law-related matters that will withstand legal scrutiny in multiple jurisdictions.

You excel at stakeholder management. You have experience managing relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders in various levels and functions.

You’re an expert at writing reports that are easy to understand regardless of the reader’s knowledge of the company that answers the questions at hand.
You are flexible and adaptable to a rapidly changing environment. You have a growth mindset and an eagerness to constantly learn and improve both yourself and investigation processes.
Nice to haves:
Juris Doctorate or other advanced degree in a relevant field
Experience identifying legal issues
AWI-CH, SPHR/SHRM-SCP, or CFE certification
Previous tech/startup experience
