Description We are in the market for an Accounting Specialist to join our team based in San Jose, California. This role is centered around the finance industry, where you will be expected to assist with auditing and general accounting tasks. This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Assist with auditing activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations Handle general accounting tasks to support the team during the audit period Leverage your finance background to provide guidance and support to the team Utilize your skills in General Accounting, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Finance, and Audit to perform your duties proficiently Keep up-to-date and accurate records of all financial transactions Respond to and resolve any financial inquiries in a timely and professional manner Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions when necessary Maintain a positive and professional relationship with customers Ensure all financial information is kept confidential and secure Continuously seek ways to improve and streamline accounting processes. Requirements Proficiency in General Accounting is required. Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary. Must have a solid background in Finance. Audit skills are essential for this role. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail are required. Proficiency in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite is necessary. Must have the ability to multitask and manage time effectively. Knowledge of accounting regulations and standards is required. A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. Certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or a similar qualification is beneficial. Experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
