Description We are in search of a meticulous Accounts Payable Clerk for our Waste, Refuse & Environmental Waste Management operations located in San Jose, California. This role represents an opportunity to contribute to our accounts department by managing the AP distribution Outlook inbox, processing invoices, and providing general admin support to our team. This position is a short-term contract.Responsibilities: Oversee the AP distribution Outlook inbox to ensure the timely processing of invoices. Print, open, and distribute invoices and mail to the appropriate departments. Carry out general administrative support tasks as required by the team. Manage account reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records. Execute check runs to facilitate timely payments to vendors. Code invoices accurately to ensure proper categorization of expenses. Perform data entry tasks to update and maintain our financial database. Process invoices efficiently to ensure all payments are made on time. Utilize Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP, and other relevant software to complete tasks efficiently. Provide other accounts payable related duties as required. Requirements Proficiency in account reconciliation is required Demonstrated skills in Accounts Payable (AP) Experience with check runs Ability to code invoices accurately Strong data entry skills Familiarity with invoice processing Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Experience with Oracle is a plus Knowledge of QuickBooks is preferred Familiarity with SAP is desirable Prior experience in the waste, refuse, and environmental waste management industry is advantageous Ability to work in a team and independently Strong attention to detail and accuracy Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively Strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities High level of integrity and trustworthiness.
