Reporting to Micron’s Corporate Communications Manager, Workforce & Culture, you will develop and execute communication strategies that elevate our employer brand, attract and retain top talent, and improve our company’s reputation as an employer of choice. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to build compelling narratives highlighting Micron’s innovation and dedication to talent development!The ideal candidate will be a communicator with strong experience developing and driving compelling stories and coordinated planning by leveraging media and other channels to reach a broad set of audiences, including Micron team members, partners, talent, and investors.Role and Responsibilities:Media Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, industry journalists, and influencers. Proactively pitch stories and respond to media inquiries.Storyline Development: Collaborate with the Talent Branding Communications team and other departments to identify and develop stories highlighting the company’s talent development and recruitment programs.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Global Communications & Marketing, People organization, and other departments to ensure a consistent and cohesive communication strategy. Provide guidance and support on talent branding-related content and campaigns across various platforms.Project Management: Lead and manage communication projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.Content Creation: Write and edit blog posts, articles, and press releases that effectively communicate our employer brand and attract and retain top talent. Ensure all content aligns with company tone and messaging guidelines.Metrics & Reporting: Monitor and report on the efficiency of communication programs. Use data-driven insights to refine and improve future communication efforts.Qualifications and Education:
Bachelor’s degree in communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
8-10 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or a related field, preferably within the technology industry.
Shown experience in media relations, including securing coverage in world-class media outlets.
Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills with an eye for detail.
Ability to work optimally in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and lead competing priorities.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across the organization and with external partners.
Experience with social media platforms and digital communication tools is a plus.
The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:$97,000.00 - $220,000.00Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.
