The Parts Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the dealership's Parts Department, ensuring optimal inventory levels, profitability, customer satisfaction, and support for the service department. This role leads parts personnel, manages vendor relationships, and ensures efficient processes that align with Sonic Automotive's standards for operational excellence and customer service.Responsibilities:Manage all aspects of the Parts Department, including inventory control, purchasing, pricing, and merchandising.Maintain appropriate inventory levels to meet customer and service department demands while minimizing obsolescence.Develop and implement strategies to maximize departmental sales, gross profit, and overall performance.Lead, train, coach, and evaluate parts department staff to achieve operational and customer service goals.Establish and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers, vendors, and internal dealership departments.Monitor departmental financial performance, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with company policies and manufacturer standards.Ensure timely and accurate processing of parts orders, returns, warranty claims, and inventory audits.
