If you are ready to help our clients and project teams succeed, we would love to meet you!Your Role and ResponsibilitiesLocation: Austin, TX PreferredThe Project Manager opening is for a highly skilled and efficient individual within the Cloud Object Storage and Key Protect organization. This role provides a single point of accountability for all aspects of assigned projects and supports the DevOps & Compliance teams they are assigned to. The project manager recognizes complex problems, analyzes situations, implements solutions, or develops new system elements, procedures, or processes.The Project Manager will collaborate with security architects, compliance teams, and Cloud DevOps teams to ensure commitments are identified, defined, scoped, and managed through acceptance and implementation. Successfully executing on both technical and compliance commitments within the planned timeframes, and identified issues have an action plan along with a risk assessment, are essential for the successful candidate. When deadlines, including dependencies outside the squad, are at risk, the project manager will proactively engage to coordinate resources to agree on a mitigation plan.The position requires a bachelor's degree and 2-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. The candidate must be familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices and procedures while willing to lead and direct the work of others. Continuous learning of Cloud and compliance/security are essential to apply in the job role along with a focus on process improvement. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected including willing to perform a variety of tasks to ensure the success of the project. Collaboration beyond the squad and tribe is expected, including enhancing department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value while demonstrating the ability to stand firm on issues yet be flexible and creative when working with others to find effective solutions.Key Responsibilities Include:Develop and maintain project plans to include project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with management, project sponsors, product owners, architects, and stakeholders.

Communicate expectations to project team members and stakeholders in a timely and effective fashion, continuously manage objectives, and hold project team members accountable for delivery, and working under short timeline pressure

Ability to utilize project management principles to properly scope compliance work efforts by service lines, identify common areas of work, and create a measurable milestone plans across service lines to enable completion of compliance work items on time.

Lead projects to execution and help project teams maintain an overall project vision with supporting project plans.

Identify and manage project dependencies, critical path items, and project risks.

Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential roadblocks, and devise contingency plans to ensure project success.

Develop and deliver status reports to management and other stakeholders including issue/action item logs, project status, and risks.

Conduct post-project reviews and make recommendations for continuous improvement and process development.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise2-5 years of relevant project management experience in a Software/Technology/IT environment running projects in a complex, multi-site environment with cross functional teams.

Practical experience in operations or process improvement and/or creation.

Familiarity with project tracking applications, such as JIRA and GitHub.

Preferred Technical and Professional ExpertiseBachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.

5+ years experience in complex cross organization project management with emphasis on identifying and managing risk, setting measurable goals, identifying dependencies, defining critical paths and communicating with senior executives and internal technical leads.

PMP and/or Lean Six Sigma Certification

Experience managing software/application development and IT infrastructure related.

Experience with compliance programs such as FedRAMP, HIPAA, GDPR, SOC 2, PCI, NIST, ISO, or ITAR

Experience with IBM Cloud technologies
