HYBRID - San Jose, CAAs a Senior Staff Test Engineer, you will serve as a principal technical authority and visionary within the test development organization. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, this role involves defining long-term ATE roadmaps, architecting scalable hardware/software testing platforms, and leading cross-functional collaborations across Product, Quality, Design, and Validation engineering. You will be responsible for driving test strategy from initial product definition through global production release, ensuring our high-performance AI power solutions meet world-class quality and reliability standards.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Test Roadmaps: Define and execute the technical strategy for next-generation ATE test solutions to support critical NPI, quality, and capability initiatives.Architectural & Platforms Leadership: Design, implement, and govern standardized baseline software frameworks and advanced hardware architectures to scale capability and efficiency across the global test organization.Comprehensive Quality Planning: Lead organizational quality planning, executing rigorous hardware/software architectural reviews, and establishing design-for-test (DFT) guidelines for complex multi-die and power module products.Product Lifecycle Ownership: Spearhead product qualification, characterization, and cross-platform correlation strategies for cutting-edge power delivery technologies.Cross-Functional & Operations Sync: Partner with senior leadership in Product Engineering, Design, and Operations to orchestrate seamless, zero-friction production ramps and global manufacturing releases.Sustaining Execution & Yield Optimization: Provide executive-level technical oversight for complex production yield optimization, cost reduction, and high-priority customer return resolution strategies.Technical Mentorship & Governance: Serve as a primary mentor to Staff, Senior, and Junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, continuous learning, and rigorous engineering practices.Ecosystem & Vendor Management: Strategically manage 3rd party relationships, foundry partnerships, and OSAT technical teams to ensure alignment with Renesas' roadmap and delivery milestones.
