Description We are offering a short-term 100% remote contract employment opportunity for a Senior Payroll Specialist. In this role, you will be tasked with managing and processing multi-state payroll for a large number of employees, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines. You will also handle various deductions and reconcile tax filings while maintaining the integrity of our payroll database.For immediate consideration, apply and contact Julian Sanchez on LinkedIn Responsibilities: Accurately and efficiently process multi-state payroll on a weekly and bi-monthly basis Monitor and update new employee information in the payroll system to maintain database integrity Interpret, process, and maintain various employee deductions, ensuring that one-time changes are handled appropriately Calculate and reconcile all termination payments in line with resident state regulations Assist with the reconciliation of periodic, quarterly, and annual tax filings Investigate and resolve payroll-related issues, recommending solutions or alternate methods as needed Oversee the Time and Attendance system, providing maintenance, training, and processing transactions as necessary Assist with payroll audits and respond to inquiries regarding payroll deductions, time off accruals, wage garnishments, and other related topics Create and upload payroll and benefits journal entries in NetSuite and prepare reports for Finance partners and other functional groups Collaborate with the HR team on payroll updates and ensure proper taxation of employer and employee paid benefits through payroll.Requirements Proven experience as a Senior Payroll Specialist with a minimum of three years in the field. Proficiency in handling bi-Monthly Payroll, Full Cycle Payroll, and Multi-state Payroll. Demonstrated knowledge of Payroll Tax and Payroll Tax Deposits. Familiarity with processing bi-weekly and weekly payroll. Experience in reconciling Payroll. Ability to manage Payroll for over 500 employees. Experience in handling Payroll Garnishments. Proficiency in benefits payroll. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion. Excellent problem-solving/judgement skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
