Matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and processing checks are integral functions for this position. This Accounts Payable Clerk opportunity will be located in the Santa Barbara, California area and will be a long-term contract / temporary to hire position.
Your responsibilities in this role:
- Implement full-cycle A/P
- Open, organize, and distribute department mail daily
- Sort, log, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents
- Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner; ensuring compliance with company policies
- Carry out additional projects as required
- Manage customer service tasks for internal business partners
- Support the AP/Finance Department by completing administrative tasks
- Provide support during internal and external audits
Requirements:
- 1+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred
- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
- Competent with spreadsheets and databases
- Established communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
- Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Strong familiarity with AS400
- Spreadsheet and database capabilities
- Microsoft Excel experience
- Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)
- Experience with high volume Accounts Payable experience is a huge plus!
