40 hours per week position for non-profit agency that provides mental health services at a community clinic and shelter and supportive services to the homeless and veteran populations.
Responsibilities and tasks include:
Providing comprehensive administrative assistance to Executive and Clinical Directors, Development and Operations Departments and agency staff and volunteers to support daily agency activities;
Daily tasks include greeting and directing clients; creating and distributing surveys; collecting data; scheduling meetings and booking rooms; recording and processing client fees; maintaining and updating agency-wide contact list; and leading health and safety procedure implementation as Health and Safety Chair;
Preparing for monthly staff meetings and assisting with development projects and planning staff/volunteer events; and
Basic office administrative tasks such as copying, filing, entering data, preparing correspondence, restocking office supplies, delivering documents, etc.
The Health and Safety Chair’s responsibilities include:
Planning and scheduling quarterly meetings with the Health and Safety Committee;
Organizing and leading agency-wide drills;
Updating existing manuals and plans; and
Creating new plans and policies as necessary to maintain CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) accreditation.
The ideal candidate will:
Be detail-oriented;
Have excellent professional written and verbal communication skills;
Excel at computer work;
Have experience providing administrative support in an office environment;
Have a demonstrated ability to multi-task; and
Have a can-do, team-oriented approach to work.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with data collection and/or a solid demonstrated ability to use complex software and Microsoft Excel for data collection;
Initiative, resourcefulness, and the ability to be self-directed and work autonomously;
Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or counseling; and
Bi-lingual a plus but not required.
If hired, the candidate must:
Have a valid driver’s license, their own working transportation with valid registration and liability insurance to conduct job-related travel;
Satisfactorily pass the company’s background, DMV and reference check; and
Meet insurance carrier’s requirements for approval to drive.
Work hours are during the traditional work week of Monday - Friday, 9-5:30 although there will be occasional OT hours to assist with community events and emergent deadlines. Our hope is that an applicant would make a one-year commitment to the position to ensure continuity; however, this is not a requirement nor a promise of long-term employment.
Starting salary is $23.00 - $25.00 per hour DOE with medical, dental and vision benefits provided, 403b contribution and matching, as well as generous paid time off. Position begins asap. This is not a remote position.
