Gas & Chemical TechnicianSanta Clara CA12 + months contract with high possibility of extensionPay rate: $28.00/hr- $30.00/hr.M - F: 7:00am - 3:30pm for the first 2 - 3 months for training.After that will be assigned to shift (7:00am - 7:30pm).Experis is seeking for Gas & Chemical Technician to join one of our Fortune 500 life science clients in Santa Clara CA.Responsibilities:Technicians work on systems and maintain supply of chemicals and gases to a semiconductor manufacturing environment that makes the chips used in electronic devices such as Smart Phones, LEDs, and Flat Screen TV's.Technicians will be responsible for the safe operation of assigned chemical and/or gas distribution systems, with duties including: Handling and change-out of gas, chemical, and slurry containers Gas and chemical equipment troubleshooting and preventative/repair maintenance Computer operations to support job functions and customer needs Support of quality systemsPhysical Attributes: Occasionally climbing ladders (utilizing fall protection) In some cases, Technicians must put on a Supplied Contained Breathing Air Respirator (this type of respirator provides air from a cylinder through a mask connected to the cylinder) while working with chemicals (approx. 10-15 minutes) Basic lifting (up to 40lbs) Bending of the knees and overhead reaching PPE made available to workers includes safety glasses, hard hat, ear plugs, chemical aprons, gloves, etc. Worker will be provided with vouchers to purchase safety boots, which they are required to wearMinimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED equivalentPreferred Qualifications: Prior experience in maintenance or as an equipment technician or in a mechanical or electronic environment is a plus Previous experience with chemical and gas distribution equipment is helpful but not a must Proficient with MS Office Suite Military training is welcomed Strong technical aptitude Excellent communication skillsWe are looking for the candidates who are eligible to work with any employers without sponsorship.If you’re interested, please click ‘Apply’ button.If you are not available or this job is not a good fit at present, please share the job details with your friends/colleagues and let me know if anyone is interested.ManpowerGroup is committed to providing equal employment opportunities in a professional, high quality work environment. Experience operating optical test systems. Excellent teamwork. Very good hand to eye coordination. Understanding of basic optics technology. Can understand and follow written and verbal work instructions and communicate effectively in a team environment. Intermediate mathematical skills including use of basic math and geometry. Adequate visual acuity to perform visual inspection of optical surfaces i.e. color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Excellent manual dexterity. Computer skills for basic MS Office software required, specifically Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Optics Assembly Technician Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM Pacific Time.
