We are looking for a Sr. Director, GTM 5G/MEC/IoT who will embody the PANW vision and culture, leading the rapid growth strategies and GTM execution for our 5G offerings. The Palo Alto Networks GTM team responsible for our Service Provider and Enterprise 5G Business is looking for a strategy and business development minded individual to add expertise and experience as we develop the next phases of our Mobility Security (5G/MEC/IoT) business. Working directly with Palo Alto Networks sales team, our SP/MSSP, CSP, GSI partners, you will primarily be tasked with evaluating strategic business opportunities, creating a clear understanding of aspects like the addressable market, the necessary business plan components, the GTM strategy, partner joint solution plays, launch and marketing initiatives, as well as assisting in the development of the support and governance plan. Working more broadly, you will get involved in a range of strategic and tactical initiatives to generate plans to accelerate and expand the 5G security business.

Your Impact

  • Create Alignment across the teams on the GTM strategy and execution path for the overall 5G security solution portfolio

  • Partner with Product Management, Marketing, Pricing, Sales and Partners to drive full sale cycle optimization and growth

  • Overseeing the education and execution of our core sales and SE teams globally KPIs: Booking, enablement, and core participation in the selling motions

  • Drive predictable pipeline through measurement and reporting discipline

  • Develop and execute sales strategies and tactics that maximize opportunity within major customer environments

  • Perform high-level sales planning, leading to accurate forecasting of the business

  • Develop and present high-quality recommendation and deliverables (G-Suite) for executive level consumption and contribute to associated strategy and execution discussions

  • Work collaboratively across a cross-functional set of stakeholders to gather the right information, pressure test your hypothesis, co-create deliverables, accelerate execution and unlock value

  • Create an environment and process for open communication and feedback loop between all functions to drive change

Qualifications

Your Experience

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or BS/MBA or equivalent experience required
  • Significant set of experiences with GTM /growth in a B2B fast-growing company
  • Background in Enterprise B2B sales/ pre-sales. Service Provider experience, selling into and through.
  • Proven track record of leading complex analysis and driving clear prioritization and strategy
  • Strong knowledge of the 5G landscape. Experience with 5G, LTE/ EPC, GPRS, UMTS, IMS technologies
  • Knowledge of software defined data center, virtualization, and network security. Knowledge of wireless protocols.
  • Knowledge of DevOps, Orchestration and Life-cycle management for containers and other infrastructure components
  • Knowledge of Openshift, VMWare, Native K8s, AKS, EKS and GKE environments.
  • Excellent cross-organizational collaboration skills and strong team player
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills; must be comfortable interacting extensively with executive staff
  • Prior experience as product manager/ product marketing desirable
  • Positive, growth-oriented mindset
  • Great teammate, willing to passionately roll up their sleeves and work cross-functionally to get things done
  • Self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments with minimal supervision
