Find your future with us.The Boeing Company has an opening for a Mid-level Approval Process Coordinator in Seal Beach , California . This position supports all Boeing Commercial Airplane models in-service and development, including programs such as OoP, 747, 767, 777, 787, 737NG, 737MAX, 777X, and the next generation of commercial airplanes.Position Responsibilities:Responsible to input into BERST all the necessary reviewers required during Preliminary Routing
Responsible to monitor/coordinate approvals/acceptances from reviewers during Preliminary Routing
Review DCCS records for accuracy and potential road blocks to approval
Responsible to gather all necessary activities required to Approve bulletins for release and the following is a potential subset of what their activities would be
Coordinate Major/Minor Verifications (MMVs)
Validate BERST approvals match DCCS Major Minor Determinations (MMDs)
Coordinate 8100-9s with the E-UMs
Validate AMOC Substantiation or Record Summary is available
Collect all necessary documentation to send to Reg Admin Team
Responsible for coordinating CAL packages back to Reg Admin
Responsible for releasing all Service Bulletins, AMOC Notices, Information Notices
Responsible for maintaining and updating BPI-1124 (including Mods updates), BPI-557, BPI-559 and LWI-025
Responsible for Acceptance of Supplier Service Bulletins through DCCS
Coordinate 8100-9s with the E-UMs
Responsible for maintaining BERST and supporting user help requests
Includes Blockpoint upgrade support and testing
Includes daily BERST User Training and updating Help Modules
Includes verifying DAEs in the BERST database are currently certified
Includes verification of E-UMs
Includes monitoring of database to ensure all released SBs are marked as Released, per BPI
Includes keeping BERST Distribution List Current as new users are added or removed
Responsibility for Airline/Lead Airline review coordination potentially coming back into the team to process
Responsible for training of Prelim Process, LWI-SBE-025
Responsible for supporting new Major Minor Determination Process for OoP and Mods
Includes keeping Affected Disciplines Form current with Certified DAEs
Includes training/supporting DAEs, PMEs, SRP Managers
Includes monitoring process to avoid escapements, per FAA Audit
This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate may be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor's degree or higher is required
A minimum of 3 year of experience working with Microsoft Office Applications
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Bachelor’s degree or higher in a field of study that can be applied to support the Duties and Responsibilities of an Approval Coordinator
A minimum of 1 year of project management experience is preferred
A minimum of 3 years of experience working as an Approval Coordinator is preferred
A minimum of 1 year of experience in Design Engineering, Service Engineering, Field Service, Maintenance Engineering, or Customer Support is preferred.
Experience with BERST, DCCS, BOBCATT, BEAR is desired
Experience working with FAA or Regulatory Administration is desired
Strong written, verbal communications and presentation skills
Typical Education / Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).
