We are seeking an experienced Controller to join our heavy haul trucking company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, including budgeting, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. In addition to managing the company's financial health, the Controller will also handle payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payments to all employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of financial reporting, including preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and standards.
- Process payroll, including managing deductions, taxes, and benefits.
- Coordinate with external auditors and manage tax reporting requirements.
- Monitor and manage cash flow, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA designation preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the trucking or transportation industry.
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems and financial software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
