The Department of Health Services (DHS) is recruiting for the Health Services Recruitment and Payroll Manager!
Starting salary up to $60.27/hour ($125,790/year) and a competitive total compensation package!
The Department of Health Services seeks an experienced and highly organized Health Services Recruitment and Payroll Manager to lead a team of HR professionals, overseeing recruitment efforts and payroll operations. In this role, you will serve as a key liaison between DHS and the central Human Resources Department (HRD) for recruitment needs, as well as with the Auditor-Controller Treasurer-Tax Collector Department (ACTTC) for payroll-related matters. Additionally, you will:
Ensure effective recruitment and payroll administration
Collaborate with department heads to identify workforce needs
Oversee the onboarding process to ensure alignment with department and county processes
Ensure compliance with employment laws and payroll regulations while developing and maintaining departmental policies related to recruitment and payroll
Analyze recruitment and payroll metrics to identify areas of improvement and implement strategies to increase efficiency and employee satisfaction
The ideal candidate will possess many of the following:
Knowledge of county or government payroll processing and recruitment protocols
Strong understanding of labor laws, payroll systems, and recruitment strategies
Familiarity with County of Sonoma Civil Service Rules and experience interpreting Memoranda of Understanding (MOU)
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on building collaborative relationships
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
