The success of our properties depends upon a team of happy, trustworthy, professional, and technology-savvy individuals with a wide range of skills and grace under pressure.

We are a boutique real estate development company on a mission to support Bay Area entrepreneurs by delivering awesome workspaces, community, and rock-solid service. Our premiere property is The York, an office-space community filled with a broad cast of entrepreneurs, start-ups, and professionals.

We also need someone with well-honed, professional communication and organizational skills who will be comfortable making direct contact with our tenants and vendors in a professional manner and with a high degree of integrity and responsibility, acting on behalf of the business as if it were their own.

We're looking for someone who brings the following specific skills and experience to the table:

At least 5 years of (PC-based) Quickbooks Enterprise bookkeeping experience

Outstanding Quickbooks bookkeeping, including

Demonstrable knowledge and experience in applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial/tax reporting.

Customer service oriented

Highly professional written and verbal communication in making direct contact with tenants and vendors

Efficient time management

Impeccable documentation and record-keeping

Epic attention to detail

Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team

The ability to adhere strictly to policies and procedures for handling confidential documentation and information.

A successful track record in setting priorities; keen analytic, organization, and problem-solving skills to support and enable sound decision-making.

Ability to think critically and creatively.

Some exposure to real estate business, project management, general contracting, and/or property management is preferred

Familiarity with other software tools such as Bill.com, Asana, and Pipedrive

As Bookkeeper, your primary responsibilities will include:

Owner of overall bookkeeping and accounting process

GL, AR, AP, financial reporting

Handle accounting-related mail and deposits

Liaise with tenants and vendors for AR and AP-related communications

Manage collection/reconciliation of rent and security deposits

Manage payment of vendor invoices

Manage renewals of city business licenses & related records

Work from home (Pacific Time zone preferred)

Manage to “perfect data” using and updating our project management, CRM, internal documentation, and other systems on an ongoing basis

If you’re a Quickbooks wizard who loves a clean set of books and keeping everything in perfect order, and have a positive, can-do attitude—we’d love to have you join the team.
