Position Title: Landscape Architecture Design Staff
Status: Avg. 20 hours per week/Hourly/Non-exempt
Compensation: Competitive based on experience

Firm Summary: We are a boutique Landscape Architecture studio with offices in Santa Cruz and Petaluma specializing in public, non-profit, and commercial ecological design. We work collaboratively to create resilient landscapes for public parks, open spaces, housing, and commercial developments.
Position Summary: We are looking for a part-time landscape architect or landscape design staff to assist in project work. The firm is well positioned to grow, and this position could likely lead to full-time work and an active role in firm development. Seeking well organized, creative, and collaborative individual with strong teamwork ethics and habits, and a good sense of humor.
Essential Functions:
- Possess a general understanding of design principles including conceptual site design, grading & drainage & California plant materials
- Create site analysis drawings, development of 2d & 3d graphics & presentations
- Drafting and Development of Construction Plans, Details and Specifications
-Demonstrate excellent teamwork and communication skills in all interactions with staff, partners, and clients
Essential Requirements:
-Bachelors and/or Masters Degree in Landscape Architecture
-Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a landscape architecture office, 5 or more years preferred
-Advanced familiarity with ACAD, and Adobe Suite programs, and proficiency in Land F/X are desirable
-Proficiency in creating construction documents
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Experience in project organization and management, detail & deadline oriented
-Willingness to travel to off-site meetings when needed (Projects mainly in North Bay)
Additional Desired Skills:
-Irrigation design and WELO proficiency
-Proficiency with a 3D rendering and illustrating program
-Licensed professional preferred but not required
-Work Environment: Santa Cruz or Petaluma office + remote work options, candidate to supply computer hardware and software needed to complete work requested when working remotely.
Physical Requirements: Extended periods of sitting, fine finger movements, including use of mouse and keyboard, and visual capacity to work with/at a computer station for extended periods, including screening of image data.
