Jet Dog offers stellar dog walking, boarding and pet sitting in and around Oakland and Berkeley, CA. We're looking for a reliable, confident, active and honest person as a part-time dog care taker for group hikes (requires a station wagon, large hatchback, minivan or SUV), solo neighborhood walks, pet sitting, and boarding at a competitive wage. Dog walks are weekdays midday, and boarding/sitting varies including weekdays and weekends. This position is very part-time during weekday midday hours (9:30a-4:30p), as both a floater/sub, and for regular ongoing group hikes about 2-3 days a week at 3-4 hours/day).
Jet Dog prides itself on having every dog in our care, thrive. We train our walkers to understand dog body language and communication signals, as well as how to reinforce safe behaviors on walks and hikes. It's not always a walk in the park, but that's what you get when you're working with four legged loves. We engage with clients respectfully and with care, as they are part of the Jet Dog family.
The ideal candidate must:
-be trustworthy, reliable and professional
-have an car that can accommodate 6 dogs at a time
-be available to board dogs in their home or pet sit in Oakland/Berkeley
-have a smart phone, and send updates, photos and videos
-love dogs, know dogs and/or want to learn about dogs and doggie communication signals. We will train the right person.
-pass a background check and get rave reviews from at least 2 professional references
