Job Description
Copita Tequileria y Comida is a vibrant neighborhood restaurant that opened in Willow Glen on the corner of Lincoln Ave and Willow St. We serve seasonal, modern Mexican food and offer over 100 tequilas and mezcals, along with an innovative cocktail and beverage program. Copita is open for lunch and dinner daily. We offer indoor and outdoor seating on two levels and a 30-seat Private Dining Room on the rooftop. In collaboration with Chef/Owner Joanne Weir, the two kitchens are led by Executive Chef Azari Cuenca-Maitret.
Host job duties include:
Seating guests and handling inquiries from restaurant patrons
Working with Resy reservation platform
Answering incoming calls and checking messages
Handles delivery orders from DoorDash and takeout orders (and receives tips from takeout!)
Printing daily menus
Ensuring a welcoming feeling of hospitality to everyone who walks in our doors
Familiarity and ease with tablets and POS systems (we use Toast) is helpful and we will train you to be proficient
Must be able to multi-task and work well with the entire team.
Applicants must have 2-3 years high volume restaurant experience to be considered and must be available to work on weekends. Hourly wage depends on experience and tips from servers and takeout can more than double the hourly wage. Free meals, discounted dining and health insurance benefits available for full-time employees. Resy experience is a big plus but a warm personality and a positive, welcoming attitude are even more important.
