Smoked Fish Production Assistant $25 per hour to start
You: Experienced professional cook/chef tired of working nights on the line. Me: Retired chef who started a wholesale smoked fish company two and a half years ago.
I was a chef for most of my life. When COVID started, I retired and founded a wholesale smoked fish production business in Napa. Now well established, business has taken off and I am looking for another part time person to train to assist with filleting, cleaning, slicing, and packing our products. $25 per hour to start. When you have mastered filleting, trimming, and hand slicing the salmon $30 per hour. Looking for two to three days per week to start. Will likely become a full time, Monday through Friday position as the business continues to grow.
Physical requirements: Professional level knife handling skills. Previous experience cutting fish. You will be standing while you work. You must be able to comfortably lift fish boxes weighing 75 pounds.
