Starting $34.38/hour ($71,755/year) and a competitive total compensation package!

Please note: This position requires possession of a valid driver's license. Possession of a Water Treatment Operator (T1) certification issued by the California State Water Resources Control Board is required within the (6) month probationary period.

The Senior Parks & Grounds Maintenance Worker is a critical role responsible for creating, assigning, tracking, and following up on work orders for completeness. As a Senior Parks and Grounds Maintenance Worker, you will lead Parks and Grounds Maintenance Worker I/IIs, volunteers, and extra-help employees in projects and preventative/routine park maintenance. Responsibilities include, identifying projects that need preventative and routine maintenance, by making independent decisions and coordinating maintenance/repairs with the appropriate vendor or county agency, working directly with the supervisor to prioritize projects. With your experience you will train and mentor the team on field skills and essential work skills such as; preventative maintenance, pre-trip inspections, troubleshooting, and routine repairs on mobile equipment.

As an ideal candidate, you will have a blend of technical and interpersonal skills that allow you to assist with overseeing a crew of six to ten work-experience interns and one full-time Parks and Grounds Maintenance Worker II.
