Program Clerical Assistant at Alzheimers Services of the East Bay

Schedule: Monday - Friday; 10:00am - 2:00pm

Major Function:

The Program Clerical Assistant will assist the CEO/PROGRAM DIRECTOR of ASEB's Adult Day Health Care (ADHC) program. Under the supervision of the Program Director, this person will assist with organization and day-to-day operations of our ADHC program. The Administrative Assistant may be fully responsible for certain areas of the program with authorization from the Program Director.

Qualification:

The Administrative Assistant must have experience with planning, coordinating and organizing. The ideal candidate for this position is dependable, patient, detail-oriented, organized, must have excellent written/verbal communication skills and strong computer skills. The Administrative Assistant has full domain over the front office and is the main point-of-contact at ASEB for the participants' families.

This job position is ideal for an independent, self-starter who knows how to rely on team members when needed!

Physical Requirements:

Must have the ability to regularly perform clerical duties, such as filing, photocopying, faxing and handwriting.

Must possess a full range of head and neck motion and manual and finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

Requires standing, walking, pushing, bending, kneeling and reaching at arms length for prolonged periods of time.

Requires the ability to lift/carry up to 25 pounds and push or pull objects exceeding 80 pounds, using appropriate body mechanics.

Duties:

Monitor and delegate answering telephone with volunteers.

Greet participants, visitors and volunteers. Document participant attendance.

Create and coordinate transportation manifest with drivers and Director.

Forwards donations, in-kind gift donations and inquiries to Accounting.

Provides telephone receptionist support and information and referral.

Keeps participant charts up-to-date, clearly labeled and easily accessible.

Prepares photocopying and printing projects as needed.

Assists in mailings.

Other duties as assigned by Program Director and/or Executive Director
