Our pediatric dental office is seeking a dental assistant/registered dental assistant to join our team with a minimum of 2 years of experience (pediatric dentistry experience is a plus). The ideal candidate will be warm, hardworking, and a team player with a passion for helping children with a growth mindset. As a start-up office, we are looking for someone innovative and goal oriented who would like to be part of our growth.
Responsibilities included, but not restricted to:
● Prepare treatment rooms by setting up instruments and materials necessary for dental procedures.
● Assist the dentist during various procedures, including cleanings, sealant applications, and treatments.
● Take and develop high-quality dental radiographs (X-rays).
● Perform coronal polishing and apply fluoride treatments as directed.
● Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment.
● Welcome and prepare patients, ensuring they are comfortable and informed about their procedures.
● Educate children and their families on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of dental health.
● Provide support and reassurance to anxious or special needs patients.
● Maintain accurate patient records and document treatment information.
● Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow.
● Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a seamless and positive patient experience.
Requirements:
Active and good standing DA or RDA license and BLS certificate
Minimum of 2 years of experience required. Experience in Pediatrics preferred.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine love for working with children from ages 0 to 26 years old.
Employment Type: Part-Time OR Full-Time
Hour Range: 16-35 hours/week; including 1-2 Saturday mornings a month
