VETERINARY ASSISTANT/TECHNICIAN
Westborough Pet Hospital is looking for a Veterinary Assistant or Technician to join our team! We are a single doctor practice that specializes in general medicine for small animals.
Business hours run from 8am to 6pm Monday-Friday; 8am to 2pm on Saturdays.
This position will start off as part-time with the ability to become full-time, dependent on performance and schedule flexibility.
As a Veterinary Technician/Assistant, some skill sets involved will be:
- Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures
- Perform laboratory tests and analyze samples
- Take and develop X-rays
- Clean and maintain veterinary office, equipment and instruments
- Maintain accurate records of patient care
- This is a physical job and you MUST be able to lift a minimum of 30lbs
Experience is preferred, though we do understand that on the job training is necessary for willing and motivated candidates.
