POSITION OVERVIEW:

Black Diamond is seeking an office based Human Resources Generalist who will drive day-to-day HR responsibilities for our company. This position is ideal for an individual who enjoys a challenge, while being very comfortable wearing multiple hats. The HR Generalist is self-starting, responsive, and able to demonstrate a sense of urgency coupled with initiative to support our growth. They will perform professional level human resources duties in the administration of HR programs, be sensitive to business requirements, and provide excellent customer service with a positive attitude. This is not a remote position, in-office only.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Enforce and maintain company policies & procedures, ensuring adherence to guidelines and precedence.

Update and maintain the Employee Handbooks.

Manage employee relations, driving accountability with managers and employees. Oversee the performance evaluation process.

Oversee health care and benefits programs.

Main recruiter in finding candidates to fill positions across multiple locations. On-board new employees.

Manage HRIS and other HR-related systems to maintain accurate employee data and generate reports.

Work with various HR Vendors for legal, payroll, and insurance issues.

Perform routine tasks and monitor/maintain HR programs including training and development, occupational safety and health, mileage reimbursements, and Business Licenses.

Ensure and maintain compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations.

Keep current on trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

Manage a full time HR Specialist.

Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field with 5+ years related experience.

Planning, organizational, time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

High attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Experience with HRIS - Paylocity preferred

Able to work both independently and with a team, across multiple sites, with all levels of employees.

Exceptional interpersonal skills, assertiveness, written/verbal communication, and customer service skills.

Willingness to assume responsibility, performing tasks and projects required for our expanding family business.

Experience in a fast-paced environment with a commission-only sales team.

Compensation:

$75,000 - $85,000 depending on experience. Relocation not provided.
