About McMurray & Samuels, P.C.

We are a close, collaborative firm of three attorneys who believe excellent lawyering and a healthy life can and should coexist. Our clients trust us during some of the most important moments of their lives, and we meet that trust with careful work, compassion, and teamwork. People tend to stay here; you will be stepping into the role of our long-time paralegal who is retiring after many years with us.

The Opportunity

Join a small team where your voice matters, your judgment is respected, and your craft as a paralegal really shines. We keep flexible hours and support a hybrid work schedule. You will have a thoughtful transition period with access to our retiring paralegal’s systems and know-how and attorneys who communicate clearly and patiently

Prepare matters for hearings and trial: organize evidence, exhibits, and binders.

Assist with billing and collections in Clio, including time entry, invoice generation, and client follow-up.

Serve as a calming first point of contact: answer phones, route calls, and welcome clients.

Interview prospective and current clients and summarize information clearly for attorneys.

Review and summarize legal documents and discovery.

Coordinate calendars, deadlines, and scheduling.

Collaborate closely with attorneys on case strategy and project management.

What You Will Bring (Required)

Proven paralegal experience in a law office setting.

At least 3 years in family law, including hands-on use of family law forms OR specific articulated equivalent experience.

Comfort with office fundamentals such as filing, data entry, and maintaining supplies.

Professional phone etiquette and genuine ease with clients.

A team-centered attitude and curiosity to keep learning.

A sense of humor.
