The Manufacturing Technician will support the production, assembly, and testing of medical imaging devices and accessories in a clean and regulated manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring that all products meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards while maintaining efficient workflow and accurate documentation.
- Perform hands-on assembly and testing of medical device components and subsystems.
- Operate manufacturing equipment and ensure proper calibration and setup.
- Follow detailed work instructions, SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), and quality inspections.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within designated work areas
- Perform receiving and in-process inspections and functional testing of assemblies.
- Document production data accurately in device history and lot history records and digital systems in compliance with GMP
- Identify and report non-conformances, assisting in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Assist with troubleshooting and repair of equipment or product issues.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement process improvements and support design transfer to production.
- Contribute to validation activities for new equipment, fixtures, or processes.
- Monitor material levels and support inventory management for production materials and tools.
- Coordinate with supply chain and logistics to ensure smooth production flow.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing or assembly, preferably in a medical device, biotech, or electronics environment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with the ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Proficiency with hand tools, test instruments, and production equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
