Our veterinary hospital is a specialty practice established for over 30 years where we take pride in providing superior medical care and excellent customer service. Receptionists are the customer service experts in a veterinary hospital. They are the client’s first impression of our practice, on the phone or in person. The receptionist answers telephones, greets clients, updates patient files, escorts clients and patients to exam rooms, receives and relays client communications and prepares invoices. The exceptional receptionist has the ability to diffuse negative client situations and foster client bonding. We are looking for applicants who love pets, have customer service or related experience and who want to be part of an upbeat, energetic team.
Personal requirements:
-Prior front office/receptionist/customer service experience strongly preferred
-Can be relied on to work with limited supervision at times and to follow through with tasks efficiently
-Quickly learn how to pronounce, know the meaning of and spell commonly used veterinary terms
-Possess solid interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain a positive outlook
-Be flexible in attitude and work habits
-Have the ability to handle pressure with poise and tact
-Have excellent job attendance
This position is for 20-30 hours per week.
