Arkin Tilt Architects, an architecture firm in West Berkeley, is hiring a part-time (15-25 hrs/wk) Office Manager/Administrative Assistant. We are a small cooperative, people-focused design firm with a strong emphasis in natural materials and innovative systems – we work hard and have fun!
Duties include: general office organization, accounts receivable and payable, tracking job expenses for billing purposes, creating invoices, reconciling bank accounts, interacting with visitors, ordering supplies, maintaining office equipment, maintaining digital and physical libraries, running errands, helping principals with scheduling and collaborating on promotional work and occasional events. Evaluating existing systems and proposing alternates would be welcome.
Time is also spent working closely with the two principals on business development, marketing and promotion. Duties include: tracking potential clients, coordinating proposal packages, tracking and coordinating award submittals, managing social media platforms, tracking promotional opportunities, preparing book, periodical and award submissions, updating promotional materials and updating website and social media.
Skills needed: Proficiency with Macintosh OSX, Microsoft Office, Quickbooks Pro. BQECore experience a plus. Must be personable, organized, supportive, detail-oriented, self-directed and trustworthy. A sense of humor would be great! Graphic skills a plus, particularly Adobe InDesign and Photoshop.
Flexible hours, some remote work possible.
Compensation: Commensurate with experience.
Start Date: Early to mid October
Prefer low carbon commuting - bike parking available.
