Birkenstock Village is a family-owned “sit and fit” shoe store. We specialize in premium comfort shoes, socks, insoles, and handbags. Outstanding customer service is our trademark. About You

You are a problem solver who enjoys a rewarding and complex work environment. You are capable on computers and balance that knowledge with fantastic customer service skills. You thrive where you can make a difference with our guests, as well as our team. Being able to juggle tasks is one of your super powers. You have a sixth sense for how to prioritize those tasks and get things done in a timely manner. You use your attention to detail to supervise everyone as they execute their daily tasks, while simultaneously helping achieve our larger business plan. You are a great listener and even better communicator.

Skills You Possess

- Prior experience overseeing a team as a supervisor and a key holder

- High quality retail experience and customer service skills

- Technology savvy with working knowledge of Google programs, Retail Pro or other POS system, and Excel

- Creative and analytical thinking

- Strong organization and prioritization skills

- Self-starter, can-do attitude, “see a need and act on it”

- Ability to handle multiple projects at once

- Desire to motivate and build team morale and be a team player yourself

- Knowledge or interest in social media management - tik tok, instagram, pinterest, facebook

- Experience with advertising and outreach preferred

- Experience with Shopify or e-commerce platforms preferred

- Inventory management skills preferred

- Hiring and review experience preferred and some knowledge of HR protocols

Some of the things you will do

- Function as the store manager when the General Manager is unavailable

- Fitting guests for shoes, socks, insoles, and other products

- Accept and do delegated tasks from the General Manager

- Be an active member of the team helping with stockroom organization, cleaning, showroom displays, events and more!

- Help GM do and delegate daily tasks

- Assist in protecting employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment

- Addressing customer and staff questions, needs, and concerns

- Open and close Birkenstock Village.

- Be available as an emergency contact for staff and security

- Participate in bi-annual shoe buying shows and provide feedback and suggestions for ordering

Work Environment, Scheduling, and Benefits

We offer products that you will feel good about selling. You will be working in a safe, clean, well-designed environment with a committed, caring, and motivated staff. We work as a team rather than for commission.

We offer training on our POS system and our products.

The position’s essential job functions include, but are not limited to: light cleaning, lifting up to 30 pounds, kneeling, climbing ladders, constantly on the move to get new shoes for customers. You must be comfortable with hands-on fitting and helping people in pain.

This is a full time position between 32-40 hours per week. Applicants must be able to work on either Saturday or Sunday. Our day begins at 9:40 am and ends at 6:15 pm.
