Business Development/Assistant Sales Manager Position

POSITION: Business Development/Assistant Sales Manager for Telekom Malaysia (USA) Inc.

Telekom Malaysia (USA), Inc., is a wholly owned subsidiary of Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM), Malaysia’s largest telecommunication company. Telekom Malaysia Berhad is listed on the Main Board of the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange (KLSE: TM) in Malaysia. TM is a leading integrated information and communications company, providing a comprehensive range of communication services and solutions in broadband, data and fixed line.

Essential Functions:

We are looking for a motivated Assistant Sales Manager to add to our sales team. We want hard working people that want to grow with us. We are looking for qualified individuals with great customer service skills.

The job scope is as listed below but not limited to:

1. Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:

Identify and pursue new business opportunities.

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.

Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.

Work directly with customers to develop enriching relationships that improve client happiness and fuel the sales process.

Establish trust among customers to establish strong network of clientele and prospects.

2. Sales Planning and Execution:

Develop and implement sales plans to meet and exceed targets.

Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to optimize strategies.

Ensure effective communication and coordination within the sales team.

Facilitate regular sales training for continue team growth.

Demonstrate leadership by setting a clear vision and goals for the sales targeted performance.

Engage and motivate the team to achieve key goals, performance expectations and standard methodology processes

Drive business through a high-level of involvement in day-to-day operations.

3. Market Research:

Stay informed about industry trends and competitors

Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and potential challenges.

4. Maintain customer relationship and satisfaction level

5. Other duties and special projects as assigned

Education and Experience:

Qualifications:

Diploma or higher in a related field (Sales, Business, IT, or Communications preferred).

No prior experience required; training will be provided.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Familiarity with Salesforce is a plus but not required.

Strong planning and organizational skills.

Self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision in a small, informal office.

Ability to adapt, multi-task, and coordinate with headquarters (Malaysia).

Flexibi lity to work after hours as needed.

Team-oriented mindset, willing to collaborate and share ideas.

Willingness to travel occasionally as required.

Basic knowledge of programming (AWS, SQL) or certifications in Cisco, Juniper, Google Cloud, and AWS are a plus but not required.

Willing to relocate to Telekom Malaysia (USA) offices in Washington, DC, Las Vegas, NV, San Francisco, CA, or Los Angeles, CA.

Salary compensation: Based on the experience + Bonus + Health/Dental Insurances + 401K

between $50k - 75k/year
