Landscape/Hardscape Field Manager

Black Diamond Paver Stones & Landscape, Inc. is looking for an experienced, hands-on, and motivated Manager to oversee the Field Service team and our repair and warranty department. The successful candidate has experience in both hardscape and landscape construction, as well as with managing employees. The Field Service Manager works in the field and provides construction oversight of installation, quality, and site safety, and provides installation and safety training to new installation teams. They inspect repairs, work with clients, and direct the work of the Field Service Technicians. This dynamic and integral position requires the right mix of technical know-how, customer service, and leadership skills to provide successful project oversight, client interaction, and the ability to ensure adequate installation team performance.

This position is M-F with weekend availability as needed.

Role and Responsibilities

Inspect existing conditions on residential hardscape / landscape installation projects, identify quality and safety problems and resolve issues accordingly.

Manage safety program and jobsite safety conditions.

Train and develop new installation teams on procedures and techniques of successful projects.

Monitor and report on installation team performance and areas for improvement.

Participate in the hiring and training of Field Service team members.

Manage Field Service Technicians.

Pre- and post-walk installation jobs as needed.

Meet and communicate with clients regarding warranty and repair jobs.

Prepare cost estimates for warranty and non-warranty repairs.

Qualifications

Advanced education in residential landscape construction/design.

Ability to create basic construction drawings and interpret landscape drawings.

Knowledge of encroachment and building permitting.

Experience in the hardscape/landscape industry with product and procedures knowledge.

Experience in training and managing others.

Strong leadership and communication skills to successfully train and develop new installation teams.

Dependable, organized, schedule driven.

Clean driving record with valid CA driver's license.

Knowledge of Bay Area Communities.

Ability to use cell phone applications to manage schedule and tasks.

C-27 Landscape or B - General Building Contractor License a plus!

Bi-lingual English/Spanish is helpful but not required.

OSHA 30 preferred but not required.
