SUMMARY:
This is a part-time, on-call maintenance position responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep and safety of park facilities and grounds. The position works under limited supervision and requires flexibility to respond to maintenance needs as they arise.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Mow and edge lawns as required.
Prune, shear, and shape hedges, plants, and shrubs as needed.
Perform minor electrical maintenance and repairs.
Assist with the repair and maintenance of pumps, filters, and related equipment.
Perform minor plumbing repairs, including irrigation systems; replace and maintain sprinkler heads and valves.
Move furniture and perform other heavy-duty work as directed.
Clean and paint as assigned.
Assist with carpentry work and fence repairs as needed.
Dig trenches for installation or repair of pipes or electrical conduit.
Operate park vehicles for routine jobs requiring the transport of maintenance equipment and furniture.
Respond to resident or park user requests in a timely and professional manner.
Assist the Park Maintenance Supervisor with more complex tasks as directed.
REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to read and understand verbal instructions and communicate in work-related, conversational English and/or Spanish.
Strong practical maintenance skills and ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
Current California Driver’s License required.
Must be available for on-call assignments, including weekends and holidays as needed.
