Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to support our day-to-day accounting functions. This role will play a key part in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. The right candidate will assist with general accounting tasks and ensure smooth financial operations.
Responsibilities:
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
Perform bank reconciliations and maintain the general ledger.
Assist in the preparation of financial reports in compliance with accounting standards.
Contribute to month-end and year-end close procedures.
Process sales tax filings and business compliance reporting.
Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions and data entry.
Provide support in maintaining organized financial documentation and records.
Qualifications:
Accounting degree preferred.
2-3 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency with QuickBooks and other accounting software.
Experience with sales tax filings, Avalara tax software, especially sales exemption certificates management software.
Knowledge of GAAP.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
