Position SummaryWhat you'll doWe are seeking an experienced Principal Product Manager to join our innovative team and take a pioneering role in shaping the Walmart Local Marketplace. This is a new venture at Walmart, aimed at transforming the local shopping experience. As part of our core team, you will have the opportunity to influence this business and product from the ground up.Our Mission:The Walmart Local Marketplace is designed to make local retailers and their products easily accessible to customers, offering same-day in-store pickup and local delivery. We are committed to enhancing the customer experience, driving growth for local businesses, and powering our hyperlocal operations.Description:As a Principal Product Manager, you will be responsible for creating a comprehensive product that caters to both sellers and customers. We need a strategic thinker with hands-on experience in developing local marketplace products and collaborating with local sellers. This is an opportunity to expand your role as a product leader in the midst of a growing team.Key Responsibilities:

Take charge of the end-to-end experience of the Walmart Local Marketplace, considering the product strategy and dynamics of a three-sided marketplace .

Develop the strategic vision, execute PRDs , create clear product roadmaps, and exhibit hands-on leadership in a startup setting.

Collaborate closely with Design, Engineering, and cross-functional teams to create exceptional products that customers love. 4. Conduct detailed market research, competitor analysis, and user studies to identify trends and opportunities for improvements.

Set clear product goals and success metrics, track and report on performance, and foster a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous learning.

Mentor and guide a team of product managers, sharing your industry knowledge and strategies.

Navigate a complex organization efficiently, driving new initiatives and collaborating with legacy Walmart teams.

Requirements:

Extensive experience in building last-mile local marketplace products.

A minimum of 8 years of product management experience, ideally in a fast-paced, tech-driven company.

Proven record of successfully launching and scaling ecommerce consumer-focused products or marketplace seller tools.

Strong leadership skills and experience in managing a team of product managers.

Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to translate complex ideas into actionable plans.

Comprehensive understanding of the product development lifecycle and a strong customer-centric mindset.

Superior analytical skills and the ability to leverage data to make informed product decisions.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts and influence stakeholders.

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; an MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
