Let’s change the world. The Department of Clinical Pharmacology, Modeling, and Simulation (CPMS) within Amgen is dedicated to the development of novel, effective, and safe medicines. We are seeking a highly qualified Senior Associate to join the CPMS group in Thousand Oaks, California.In this vital role, you will contribute to Amgen’s multimodality development portfolio by conducting formal and ad-hoc clinical pharmacology data analyses, summarizing data and results in clinical study report documents, performing quality control, reviewing pharmacokinetic datasets, and adhering to applicable regulatory guidance (ie, good clinical practices [GCP]). In addition, the successful candidate will possess good written and oral communication skills, the ability to work well in teams, demonstrate technical aptitude, and have a strong work ethic. The individual will also be responsible for reviewing and complying with all applicable SOPs, business practices, and company policies.

Execution of formal and ad-hoc data analysis and report writing of clinical pharmacology data with a strong emphasis on quality and meeting timelines

Review and quality control of analyses and reports to ensure accuracy and consistency in accordance with standard processes

Work closely with CPMS and other team members, effectively communicate with project team representatives, and actively participate and collaborate cross-functionally

Master’s degree OR

Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of relevant pharmaceutical or biotech experience OR

Associate's degree and 4 years of relevant pharmaceutical or biotech experience OR

High school diploma or GED and 6 years of relevant pharmaceutical or biotech experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in life sciences such as biology, chemistry, or related field.

Experience conducting clinical pharmacology data analysis and report writing

Experienced in working with Phoenix analysis software and with SAS datasets

Skilled in using Microsoft Office software (ie, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Familiar with the drug development process, regulatory guidelines, analysis methodology, and clinical pharmacology studies

Able to work under tight deadlines

Strong analytical, writing, communication, organization, and teamwork skills
