Let’s change the world. The Translational Safety & Bioanalytical Sciences group at Amgen Inc. The Thousand Oaks site is seeking to hire a highly enthusiastic and motivated individual at the Associate Scientist level. In this vital role, you will work in the lab under supervision and collaborate closely with a group of committed scientists to perform immunoassays and cell-based assays designed to monitor the immunogenicity of Amgen’s exciting therapeutic protein pipeline.Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

Execute and document experimental plans and laboratory procedures in a timely manner with great attention to detail.

Perform plate-based immunoassays for the detection of binding or neutralizing anti-drug antibodies.

Perform mammalian cell line maintenance and cell-based assays for the detection of neutralizing anti-drug antibodies.

Execute data analysis and troubleshooting with guidance.

Present data internally and communicate effectively with colleagues.

Operate and maintain lab equipment in accordance with GxP guidelines

Master’s degree and at least 1 year of laboratory experience

OR

Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of laboratory experience in immunochemistry, cell biology, or a closely related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

Good critical thinking skills and attention to detail are required.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to conduct experiments.

Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture, immunoassays, and/or cell-based assays is preferred

Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

The successful candidate must have the ability to adapt to new technologies and techniques.

Comfortable in a fast-paced company environment and able to adjust workloads based on changing priorities.

Knowledge of or proficiency in GxP lab requirements is preferred.
