The ideal candidate should have the ability to design new systems or find solutions for existing system upgrades. Experience in the EV realm is highly preferred. Location for this role is Southern California.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other job-related duties may be assigned in conformance with state and federal regulations.Core functions:

The Electrical Engineer will work directly on projects andresponsible for design of power, lighting, Fire alarm, Telecommunications, load calculations, Title 24 modeling, studies, energy audits, facilities condition assessments, and construction administration, plan review, and plan check.

This project-related work will also include the preparation of contract plans and specifications, cost estimates, technical reports/studies, proposals, and presentations.

The Electrical Engineer will also potentially conduct facility condition assessments and navigate client solutions meetings.

This role requires an ability to work on projects from concept stage through construction.

The Electrical Engineer will research, design, and provide construction document layout for electrical design to meet client’s requirements in both large and small projects.

They will consult on electrical design for a wide range of projects (including electrical vehicle) and work with other engineers, architects, project managers, and construction professionals as needed to create and/or modify design parameters.

The engineer will communicate directly with clients to understand project requirements, goals, design specifications, and operational environments in order to evaluate cost, feasibility, and implementation of electrical design.

The engineer will have robust experience with Revit & AutoCAD and create Revit models of electrical systems for construction plans.

The engineer will have experience with program scale initiatives.

In addition, the Electrical Engineer will:

Enhance professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

Protect operations by keeping company information confidential.

Deliver outstanding customer service through timely response and proactive solutions to clients needs.

Demonstrate BV’s guiding principles in support of the company's strategic goals.

Follow all documented policies, Standard Operating Procedures, and Work Instructions applicable to the position and support of BV's quality standards and strategic initiatives.

Maintain safe and clean work area by complying with all procedures, rules, and regulations.

Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

Possess the ability to use and skillfully operate a computer is essential to this position.

Successfully work from remote location.

Required : Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

Required: 5+ years’ experience in building design of institutional, educational, healthcare, public, and private development.

Preferred: Electrical Vehicle Infrastructure experience

Required : High degree of proficiency with AutoCAD.

Preferred : Proficiency in REVIT.

Must have the ability to work independently, as well as with a team, with minimal supervision.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Preferred : Professional Engineer license in the state of California.

Required : Valid driver's license with no significant DMV points/violations (clean driving record).

Other Qualifications:

Must have a cell phone and supply your own internet service.

Must be able to work from a remote location.

Must be willing work in the Irvine, CA office from time to time as determined by BVAE leadership.

Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications with a strong emphasis in MS Excel.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent time management skills including ability to perform multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and ability to work independently.
