In House Bookkeeper
We are an upholstery and window treatment business in Thousand Oaks, CA. We are looking for an on-site bookkeeper for our business.
Description of roles:
Balance & Reconcile accounts on Quickbooks Desktop
Apply customer payments to invoices
Enter and process payroll weekly through ADP
Calculate and issue commission to subcontractors weekly
Enter all vendor bills in Quickbooks and cross check totals with sales invoices
Accounts Payable: Pay all vendor bills, rent, and utility bills
Enter sales invoices from subcontractors and staff into Quickbooks
Check emails and correspond with vendors regarding payment and return credits
Issue W-9 forms for subcontractors as needed
Email and phone correspondence with accountant when needed
Calculate and provide sales tax reports and breakdowns to accountant monthly and quarterly
Annual preparation of taxes for accountant: Generate P&L report, balance sheets, e-file 1099’s
Assist with other administrative and accounting office tasks.
Skills and requirements:
Proficient in Using Quickbooks
Proficient in the basics of Excel (creating spreadsheets, functions, and sum totals)
Working knowledge of Google Drive, Google Docs, & Google Sheets
Trustworthy

Organized
Able to Prioritize
Great Work Ethic
Work schedule:
Flexible hours, but must be in the office on Thursday mornings to process payroll and commissions. A schedule of M-F for 5 hours per day.
Job Type: Part-time (20-25hrs/week)

Experience:
Bookkeeping Experience Minimum 2 Years
