Local Construction Company is looking for a Staff Accountant to perform a myriad accounting clerical functions under the direction of the Controller.
Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
$26.00-$33.00/hour + Benefits
Responsibilities:
Preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, assist with maintaining the general ledger, assist with cash management, AR, and Compliance tasks.
Assist with the monthly closing processes.
Manage the preparation and distribution of financial statements and reports, maintaining the highest quality, reliability and accuracy.
Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
Perform financial analysis and investigate and explain variances.
Assist in tracking, maintaining, and overseeing cash position.
Assist with Treasury functions as assigned.
Contact customers for updates on AR balances.
Prepare and enter customer billings.
Track and assist with compliance tasks.
Perform other accounting duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications:
HS Diploma or GED with 2+ years of accounting experience within the construction industry
OR Bachelor's Degree with 2+ years of accounting experience within any industry
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
