Dog Fosters URGENTLY Needed Foster Today and Save a Life!

Foster Homes Needed for Dogs in Need!

Every year, 3.3 million dogs enter shelters, and 670,000 are euthanized. Our organization's goal is to save as many dogs as possible and find homes for the most at-risk dogs. We are ENTIRELY foster-based and we need loving fosters to provide temporary homes for our dogs in need while we look for their forever homes. If you love dogs and have the space in your home for a furry friend, please continue reading!

About Us:

Ace of Hearts is a Non-Profit Dog Rescue based in Los Angeles that saves dogs from shelters, giving them a new chance at life!

Why Foster?

We need loving fosters to provide temporary homes for rescued dogs while we seek "Furever" homes. Since we rescue from shelters, some dogs may be traumatized, so we need people who will make them feel secure, comfortable, and confident. It’s incredibly gratifying to see these shy and fearful dogs gain your trust and to receive unconditional love from more confident dogs. You will provide loving care and updates on their personalities, and we will provide everything else (bed, food, treats, toys, supplies, and vet care).

Requirements for Fosters:

- Experience with dogs and comfort with large breeds (most of our pups weigh 50-90 pounds).

- Be 21+ (or have parent approval if under 21).

- Foster until the dog is adopted, or at least 2-4 weeks if you can't make that commitment. Short-term emergency fosters are also needed!

- Reliable transportation to bring dogs to our adoption events in West Hollywood every other Saturday and to a vet of our choice for appointments.

- No children under 10, cats, or small dogs in the home (other large dogs are okay).

- Ability to start immediately.

- Have landlord/manager/spouse approval if applicable.

-Provide your phone number and personal email for contact (we will not respond without this information).

Immediate Foster Needs:

1. Daisy: Meet Daisy, an adorable English Bulldog mix with a heart full of love! Daisy is a mellow, easygoing girl who just needs a comfy spot to relax. She has arthritis and needs a Librela shot every 30 days, but with this, she’ll be comfortable and pain-free. At 71 lbs, she’s a bit on the heavy side, so a healthy, lean diet will help her shed some pounds. Daisy also has hip dysplasia and a cruciate ligament tear, so she needs a calm home where she can avoid strenuous activity. If you’re looking for a gentle, loving companion, Daisy is your girl!

2. Tiger: Tiger is a 7-month-old pittie puppy with a heart full of enthusiasm! He loves people and is always ready for an adventure. While he’s a bit too pushy with other dogs, making him best suited as the only dog in the home, his playful energy is infectious. Tiger is housetrained and healthy, but he needs a strong, experienced foster to help him with his leash manners and socialization. If you’re up for the challenge, Tiger will reward you with endless affection and fun!

3. Jack Jack and Blankets: Jack Jack and Blankets are two sweet adult pitties who just need a little extra love. They were recently rescued from a high-kill shelter and are still learning to trust humans. Though they are initially wary and not yet housetrained, they are gentle souls who just need patience and care. They have no leash training, but with your help, they can learn! Ideally, they should be fostered together to keep each other company. If you have a calm home and a big heart, Jack Jack and Blankets will thrive under your care.

4. Ash and Blue: Ash and Blue are a delightful pair of bonded yorkies who must stay together. These two cuties are great with other dogs and have no medical concerns. They can be a bit nippy with new people at first, but once they feel safe, they become playful and affectionate companions. Ash and Blue need a few days to settle in and show their true, loving personalities. If you’re looking for a pair of small, loving dogs, Ash and Blue are the perfect duo!
