Advisory Project Manager, DSBCPosition ProfileWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to lead a cross-functional team of technical writers and engineers responsible for the creation, maintenance, and translation of user and service documentation for large commercial printers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing both hardware and software documentation projects, driving teams toward successful project completion using Agile and Scrum methodologies. The Project Manager will oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring quality, accuracy, and timely delivery of documentation, while managing the translation process for global distribution. Receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instruction on new assignments Work evaluated upon completion. May supervise lower-level employees.Job Duties and Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of technical writers and engineers responsible for developing user and service documentation for a variety of hardware and software products.

Oversee all phases of the documentation process, from planning and content development to review, approval, and publication.

Collaborate with product teams, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure documentation meets the needs of end-users and service personnel.

Manage the translation process for documentation to ensure timely and accurate delivery of translated materials for international markets.

Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and resource allocation, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within scope.

Lead Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives to keep the team aligned and focused on project goals.

Use Jira to manage tasks, track progress, and report on project status to upper management and stakeholders.

Ensure adherence to Agile and Scrum processes, identifying areas for improvement and driving continuous process improvements across the team.

Facilitate communication and collaboration across teams, ensuring clear and consistent messaging, particularly between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.

Monitor project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies to resolve blockers and keep the team on track.

Foster a positive, high-performance team culture that encourages collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Provides project management business guidance to team members throughout the project life cycle. Has the ability to manage and motivate team members. Team members might include customer, supplier and internal company staff.

Defines and decides objectives related to the project or segment of a large project from a cost, schedule, technical and quality perspective.

Identifies potential business and technical risk for the project.

Advises others and works with team members to articulate, compare, and implement solutions and alternative approaches.

Analyzes problems and creates solutions involving finance, scheduling, technology, methodology, tools and solution components.

Accountable for meeting customer's requirements and obtain the results of the project segment or deliverable assigned. Responsible for project planning.

Performs activities to ensure customer satisfaction. Responsible for their financial baseline of the project.

As appropriate, challenges the validity of given procedures and processes with a view toward enhancement or improvement.

Responsible for performance, cost, scope, schedule, quality, and appropriate business measurements for their project/segment of the project and for revenue and profit objectives of the project.

Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Certifications)

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field and/or 5+ years of experience in project management, leading cross-functional teams in a software or hardware environment.

Proven track record of managing large teams across multiple product lines, both hardware and software.

Expertise in Agile and Scrum methodologies, with the ability to lead teams using these frameworks.

Knowledge of Jira for task management, progress tracking, and reporting.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

PMP, CSM, or equivalent project management certification.

Experience in the commercial printing industry or a related field.

Familiarity with large-scale documentation systems and tools.

Experience managing the translation process for technical documentation.
